Greetings, fellow creative.
Your work inspired me.
I recently came across your work and felt moved by the spirit behind it—your creativity, your expression, and the way you bring something soulful into the world.
I’m a photographer based in Tacoma with a background in illustration and fine art. My current portrait project, called In Their Element, is a visual celebration of artists and makers like you—captured in the spaces where you do your most meaningful work.
Whether you paint, sculpt, compose, carve, choreograph, or curate—I’m fascinated by the quiet magic of the creative process: the way hands move with intention, the way a studio breathes with light, and the way your story lives within the space you’ve shaped.
Through thoughtful, environmental portraits, I aim to reflect your process, your essence, and the unseen moments that often go unnoticed—yet define so much of your work.
As part of this project, participants receive a curated set of professional portraits—perfect for use on your website, social media, or promotional materials. It’s my hope that these images help you tell your story in an authentic, powerful way.
If this resonates, I’d love to connect for a relaxed conversation and share more about the project. Below are selected portraits for your review.
Thanks again for inspiring me through your work—I hope we get a chance to collaborate.
Warmly,
Chris

Not right now. In Their Element is a personal passion project I’m building as I document artists and makers in their creative spaces. Eventually, this will become a paid service for creatives who need authentic, story-rich portraits for their brand or marketing—but for now, I’m offering a limited number of sessions at no cost as I continue to shape the series. If this resonates, I’d love to hear from you—spots are limited during this early phase.

Most sessions take about 60–90 minutes. We’ll have a relaxed conversation, I’ll observe your process or workspace, and I’ll capture moments organically as we talk or as you create. It’s low-pressure, collaborative, and designed to feel like a creative exchange.

As an artist myself—with a background in fine art and illustration—I’ve always been fascinated by the energy of the studio: the light, the focus, the hands at work. In Their Element is my way of honoring that quiet beauty and sharing it with the world.
